What started with a worn-out pair of topsiders, and a curiosity to take them apart, became our first handmade pair. An unexpected order followed… then another, and with it a pivot from leather accessories into footwear.

We learned with each pair. Improved with every order.

Where it all started.

Named after the address of our East Vancouver studio, the 1907 marked a turning point for the brand and was where things began to evolve.

A classic derby boot silhouette crafted in Horween leather, built with welted construction and customizable elements. Limited to just 50 pairs and released only a handful of times.

Each boot was built to last — and built with intention. This was the design that moved us beyond the boat shoes we were known for.

An evolution of the 1907, this design was born from a night in the mountains.

Dreamed up during an overnight hiking trip, the 1907A was designed to go further. An 8” derby silhouette crafted in Horween leather, lined in Pendleton wool, and finished with a gusseted tongue for all-weather wear.

The 1984 was our interpretation of the classic Chelsea boot — a clean, pull-on silhouette in Horween leather. Offered with a leather-covered or exposed elastic, keeping the design simple and considered.

An evolution of our original derby boot design.

The 808 introduced a shorter silhouette, sitting at the ankle, balanced by a longer counter for structure and shape. Crafted in Horween leather or C.F. Stead suede, and finished with welted construction.

A classic foundation — reimagined. Built to last.

Introduced for the Spring/Summer season, the 1966 was a fresh take on the classic smoking slipper.

A whole-cut loafer crafted in tan or black C.F. Stead suede. The embroidered images were created in collaboration with the tattooist, Matthew Houston, drawing from traditional tattoo-inspired imagery.

Minimal in structure. Detailed in execution.

A zip-up ankle boot with a western influence.

The 1979 leaned into classic western inspiration while maintaining a clean silhouette. Crafted in Horween Dublin leather and finished with Riri zippers, it featured an option of removable boot harnesses, allowing the style to shift from understated to statement.

Introducing a new direction for the collection.

The 1992 was an all-leather slide inspired by the classic athletic slides of the ’90s. Created in collaboration with tattooist Matthew Houston, it featured gold-foiled or stamped tattoo-inspired artwork and a molded footbed for comfort.

"This was the final boot I designed for LJL. By this stage, my approach to patterning and construction had evolved — each proportion more considered, each detail more deliberate. It was a culmination of years at the bench."- Jules Symons.

An 8” lace-up inspired by the classic roper silhouette, the 1955 leaned into western influence with a refined execution. Crafted in Horween Dublin leather, it offered optional hand-stitched detailing for added character.

Two constructions were available: a western-style sole with a 1/2 welt and whip-stitched waist, or a full welted build with a Vibram Christy sole.

Limited to 25 pairs, the 1973 sandal and clog marked Jules's final production release.

Crafted in Horween natural and black Essex leather, the design drew inspiration from the classic ’70s hippie sandal and clog, reinterpreted with a cleaner silhouette. Offered with multiple Vibram sole options, each pair could be customized to suit individual preference.

Made from leather remnants left over from our boot production, the offcut series included coasters, koozies and shoehorn keychains crafted with the same attention to quality as our footwear.

Finished with gold-foiled designs by tattooist Matthew Houston, each piece transformed excess material into useful, design-driven objects.

A minimal drawstring backpack crafted in C.F. Stead suede and Horween Chromexcel leather.

Designed with front pockets for small essentials and a spacious interior compartment, the 1907 Backpack carried the same construction standards as our footwear.

Crafted from tumbled Horween Essex leather in natural and black, the tote focused on simplicity and proportion.

A clean construction with no excess detailing, its scale was the defining feature — creating impact through size and material rather than embellishment.

A fanny pack / crossbody style was a staple of our collection since the beginning, long before its recent return to trend.

Following the production of the tote bag, the scale of the design left offcuts of tumbled Horween Essex leather. From this surplus material, complemented with Riri zippers, the 1907 Fanny Pack emerged.

Continuing our design language of simplicity and function, it was built from surplus and designed with intention.
